Drone production, and drone use are now expanding exponentially. This of course is by design, but that is not encouraging in the least; quite the contrary is the case.
According to this article in the Wall Street Journal, more than 50 agencies and institutions have received approval to operate unmanned remotely operated aircraft, or drones. Of course the evil Department of Homeland Security is involved, but many others are as well. I have linked to a list of organizations that are seeking to use drones. This list is telling.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is gearing up to massively advance the use of drones domestically. Congress wants by 2015 to have unmanned drones flying throughout the entire U.S. No documents of course, indicate how any aircraft will be used. That is a scary proposition.
Per the article mentioned above:
“Many drones are designed to carry surveillance equipment, including video cameras, infrared thermal imagers, radar and wireless network ‘sniffers,’ ” the representatives wrote in their letter to Michael Huerta.
This will lead to large government contracts as usual, so approximately 50 companies are looking to develop 150 different systems. These will range in size from minuscule to airliner size. Little could be more dangerous to us citizens, as these remotely controlled aircraft can be used for unwarranted surveillance, as tracking vehicles, and as weapons. Keep in mind that we’re talking only about domestic use. Whatever these can do in war overseas, they can also do here at home. This is an untenable situation!
Think about police state use for “law enforcement,” military, and many other government agencies will have access to these drones as well. As more of these killer drones come back from overseas, and as more are produced here and abroad, the domestic use will expand greatly.
Yes, the same drones used to murder innocent civilians in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and Yemen, will soon be coming to a neighborhood near you. Given that police departments already have tanks, and armored bulletproof vehicles, automatic weapons, and now will have unmanned killer drones, none in this country will be safe from the state.
I have little confidence that any valid number of American sheep will stand up and stop this assault. Allowing this expansion of domestic drone use would be a most pathetic display of cowardice on the part of the masses, and will serve only to make slaves of all of us!
