By now, everyone not living in a cave has heard the many hysterical comments concerning Hurricane Dorian. Yes, it was a strong hurricane, and yes, it is hurricane season. The area around Grand Bahama was actually devastated as far as I can tell, and those people had no protection, but that has nothing to do with what happened here. Trusting anything coming from the weather propagandists exposes one’s gullibility and stupidity.
Even today, as this storm is winding down dramatically, the headlines of doom and gloom continue as if a Cat 5 hurricane is destroying the entirety of the U.S. east coast. On Drudge this morning, these headlines led the news:
“EYEWALL OF DORIAN JUST OFFSHORE OF S CAROLINA…LANDFALL?”, Charleston floods…, Storm surges up to 8 feet…, 200,000+ without power…, Storm hurls tornadoes…” I even saw a headline on Weather Underground that this hurricane was still battering the east coast of Florida.
This hurricane turned north when it left the Bahamas, not threatening Florida at all. While the weather idiots were talking of Armageddon in Florida, nothing was actually happening, as this storm never got close to shore there.
As I write this, the weather in Charleston, South Carolina (The current center of hurricane hell) as reported by Weather Underground, is some rain with 11 mile per hour winds, with gusts up to 17. The forecast calls for winds up to 40 mph later today, with sunny and calm weather tommorow. The possibility of rain over 1 inch is likely, with up to a 1/4 of an inch tonight. Considering the headlines above, does any of this hype make sense?
The leftist environmental ignoramuses, the mainstream media, and the “climate change” nuts, are completely beside themselves. All they want is total devastation, massive death counts, and unlimited tragedy. This is what fills their dreams. With those conditions, there would be an orgasmic display of joy from these agenda driven con-artists. The let down due to this storm subsiding into a minor rain event in the U.S. must have disheartened even the most mild of these robotically programed “climate change” morons.
Nothing coming from the mainstream “news” should ever be taken seriously, and absolutely nothing should be believed unless proven beyond any doubt. This hysteria is not innocent, as due to the hype, hundreds of thousands of people spend enormous amounts of money attempting to protect their homes. Many were forced to evacuate, and travel to far away places for protection, all prematurely. The fear-mongering is out of control, as politicians race to gain headlines to show how compassionate they are in attempting to save the lives of those who do not need such parenthetical and nonsensical advice and orders.
As this storm heads far north and east away from the coast into colder waters, more doom and gloom reports will be forthcoming until the last whisper of a breeze is possible. It is nothing more than a dangerous and shameful display of obvious agenda driven stupidity.
