The Tangled Web of Lies Concerning Julian Assange

By: Gary D. Barnett

The only reason that Julian Assange was forced to take asylum in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London was due to false charges of rape against him in Sweden. This was an obvious ploy, a lie and trap, to gain reasoning to arrest Assange so that he could be extradited to the United States for the crime of telling the truth.

After years of being held in what can only be described as solitary confinement at the Ecuadorian embassy, especially after the new President Moreno was paid off by the U.S. to turn him over to British authorities, Assange was a sick and weakened man. The Brits on the orders of the U.S., put him in the Guantanamo Bay of Britain, Belmarsh Prison, and proceeded to torture and drug him into a state of near death.

Well, today, Sweden dropped the investigation into rape charges against Julian Assange.

Sweden will not proceed with its preliminary probe into sexual assault claims against Julian Assange, WikiLeaks whistleblowing organization said Tuesday.

This staged case against Assange was the impetus necessary for this entire ordeal to begin, and now Sweden has apparently dropped the matter entirely. While this is warranted, it is too little too late, and praise for this move by Swedish authorities should not be forthcoming. This move is meant to protect the very ones responsible for this crime, and to save face in the event that Assange dies in exile.

The only reason the British government could hold or incarcerate Assange was for refusing to show for a hearing on a fake charge of sexual assault. But they are not only holding him, but abusing him to the point of near death, never to be the same again, even if he lives through it. What will they do now? Will they seek permission from the U.S. authorities to release him, or will they continue their torture until he dies or is extradited to the U.S.?

Either way, this hero’s life is over, and there is little sympathy or respect evident in the U.S, population. He should have never had to take asylum, and he should never have been jailed.

This could be the final nail in the coffin of free speech in America, and could end the era of truth-telling and exposure of this most unbelievably criminal and murderous government in the United States.
