The Price of Speaking Truth to Power

Those who speak truth to power in this day and age should fully realize the wrath they will face. It is a very dangerous game, and not for the timid. All those who seek and expose the truth, especially concerning the State and its accomplices, those like Edward Snowden, Sibel Edmunds, Julian Assange, and so many others, literally put their lives in jeopardy.  Now, what is happening to Julian Assange is not only criminal, but has caused his life to hang by a thread. That thread is held in a web by corrupt and evil government “judicial’ systems.

In order to explain the Assange situation properly, to explain all the aspects and ramifications and the possible outcomes, would take extensive writings. I am concentrating here only on the probability that Assange would be silenced once and for all should the U.S. ever get their hands on him. It is my opinion that he would be imprisoned, tortured, murdered, or would, as has happened so often to those who stand up to the state, be said to have “committed suicide.” This seems to be the CIA’s modus operandi more times than not these days to disappear those speaking against the nation-state.

From the very top of the political power in DC, many have already called for the execution of Assange publicly. I have no faith whatsoever in the corrupt justice system, whether in the UK or in the U.S., so although Assange is free to simply walk out, he would certainly be arrested, and held, and any fair due process for his plight seems impossible to me. The only reason British officials would arrest him, and they have stated this fact, is because he did not surrender for bail, even though those bogus Swedish charges against Assange were dropped long ago. The Brits have said emphatically that he would be immediately arrested. I think his life would be over at that point. He would never be accorded proper or just treatment.

What has changed recently to make this situation much more dire for Assange is Ecuador’s change of position. Relations between the U.S. and Ecuador have been strained to say the least, but recently, things have changed dramatically. As of late, Ecuadorian president Lenin Moreno has taken a hard line toward Assange, first by withdrawing security for Assange from Ecuador’s diplomatic headquarters in London, and then by cutting off all his communication systems. Moreno met with U.S. Vice President Pence in June, and is now meeting with British officials to most likely set up Assange’s eviction and imminent arrest by UK authorities.

Moreno will blame this all on Assange, claiming that the burden of Assange’s protection these past few years has been too much of a strain on his country, but is that really the case? Not likely, but recent news about Ecuador’s relationship with the U.S. indicates collusion and bribery in order for the U.S. to get their hands on Assange. Once he is arrested and extradited from the UK by the U.S., a foregone conclusion once evicted in my opinion, they can silence him once and for all. That of course, is the objective of the U.S. government. None of this is legal mind you, but when has legality ever stopped the U.S. government from fulfilling its agenda of covering up its crimes.

My opinion is based on announcements made in the past few weeks. Ecuadorian Defense Minister Oswaldo Jarrin said in Quito that Ecuador is now buying weapons, radar sets, helicopters, and “other equipment,” from the U.S. He also said cooperation with the U.S. will include training and intelligence sharing. Could the timing of this U.S. arms deal with Ecuador be coincidence? I think not.

As far as I am concerned, this is simply another political coup designed and orchestrated by the U.S. for the sole purpose of destroying Julian Assange, and in the process hiding the truth. The U.S. government can’t handle the truth, for the truth would expose high crimes that would shake the very foundation of the false “exceptionalism” claimed by the U.S. and its uninformed citizenry. Corruption at this level must be protected at all costs, so any who threaten the state must be silenced or eliminated.

Truth telling has become a lost art, and it has become dangerous. Consequences of telling truth to power range from personal and financial destruction, to prison, and even to death. Lying and corruption at high levels of government and in the mainstream media have replaced the truth, and the collective masses have accepted this ruse.  This degree of ignorance and apathy can lead only to enslavement.

Truth is our liberator, truth to power our salvation. Truth can only be found by those individuals willing to accept it at all costs. No intelligence exists in any collective; intelligence can only exist in the individual mind.

Julian Assange is a hero. One does not have to agree with everything he says or does, but he has put his life on the line to expose the truth. Very few have that kind of courage, a sad state of affairs in a country that was created by fighting against government, not bowing down to it. His plight is not discussed in the mainstream media, and is rarely mentioned elsewhere, but his freedom should be protected at all costs by any who value real liberty. Freedom can only exist when truth is evident, for without the truth, life as we know it will perish.
