Anarchy

A Reader Very Confused About Anarchy

By: Gary D. Barnett

Today I received two letters from a reader that were at times extremely critical and also complimentary. These types of responses are always confusing, and for the most part meant to contradict or criticize a position that I might take without scrutiny, but that is not how I operate. Usually, as was the case today, there is vast misunderstanding of terms, true meanings, and a lack of research in order to better understand in total context what is being pursued.

I will not post his comments, but only my response, as he at once condemns anarchy, and supports fully the U.S. system that is a fascist, socialistic, and totalitarian atrocity. This comes from the approach that the centralized concentration of power created and upheld by the heinous Constitution, and that has allowed for this country to become at the same time the most terroristic and tyrannical on earth, is the most divine of all time. It was stated as such: “The Constitution here in America is the best form of government that man has ever created here on earth. No other form of government has performed better. NONE HAS OUTPERFORMED IT.”

In the case of war, torture, murder, aggression, interference, and total destruction, the U.S. has certainly outperformed all others by far.

My answer to his letter is below:

“Thanks for writing, but before beginning a one-sided and incorrect argument, one must do research and learn about the actual idea being argued. You have not done that.

First and foremost, you must go back to the root and foundation of the term anarchy, and not accept the very bastardized and manipulative idiocy of mainstream ‘meanings,’ which are not only irrelevant but purposely changed in order to marginalize the truth. Anarchy from the original Latin and Greek simply means “without rule or without rulers.” In other words, no acceptance of a master or king (government) to rule over you.

The modern BS that passes for a dictionary is worthless in any effort to understand real language. Anarchy is not lawlessness, chaos, or living without rules, it is just the opposite of that, as anarchy requires that all involved practice non-aggression or face the consequences. Had you spent enough time reading my articles, you would have understood my position better.

In addition, I have never advocated or believe in any system of anarchy for the majority, or as a political system for a nation-state. In fact, I do not believe in any nation-state, or country that has a universal governing system. I care not what system anyone or any group, regardless of size and scope, accepts for themselves and for any voluntary members, whether democracy, socialism, communism, or anarchy. Anarchy is not meant to force anyone to act or comply with any majority whatsoever, and is best suited for smaller groups that are like minded and actually understand what freedom is and how it is structured. Anarchy is the only system that allows for true freedom, as freedom has to be taken and protected, which means that no top down power can claim to lord over others. There are no real anarchical societies of any size today.

There is no such thing as “good” government, as all government rests on the single premise of force. That is anathema to all freedom and liberty. This is why I advocate for total secession at ever level, beginning with the states, then the counties, then the cities, then the towns, and as far as any want to go in order to escape the chains of state.

The Constitution was nothing more than a coup by Hamilton and all his followers to create a powerful centralized, and totalitarian federal state that was granted unlimited power by Article 1, Section 8, of the very same heinous political document called a “constitution.” No government piece of paper drafted by the political class, and forced on an entire nation can offer, create, protect, or guarantee any rights. All rights are natural, and are solely based on the right to life.

I never once said anarchy cannot work; it is the only free system on earth. I said it cannot act as a national or state forced system, because it is based only on individual freedom. The fact that the bulk of the population are pathetic sheep, immoral, dependent on the state, and idiotic is just the nature of humanity at this stage of our existence.

As to the criminal element, which is mostly government itself, that is what self defense as individuals or a collective made up of individuals is all about. Non-aggression and self-defense are mainstays of anarchy.

I would suggest turning off your TV, discarding 100% of state propaganda, and a re-education about this horrendous country called the U.S. that has been responsible for more heinous behavior, torture, murder, war, aggression, and total destruction of innocents for its entire history.”

Sincerely … Gary
